The Power of Words? How about 1 word?
I'll tell you about the power of a simple word. Immeasurable. This morning, this darling 6 year old said, "shoe" when I put her shoes on her. All by herself. Contrary to popular belief, my chatty husband and I have NOT sucked all the words out of our household. Miss Peanut will speak - the words are in there. I am determined to help her get them out. SHOE. Way to go kiddo. She loves that trampoline - check out her smile.

Beautiful picture!! What a smile! I know this is huge! Many blessings for many, many words!
Lovely picture. Lovely people in it. But are you really on a trampoline, or just stomping on the poor person whose hand appears in the lower right corner?
Oh Kim, first the BEAUTIFUL picture, then the word shoe...then the goosebumps and tears. It's been a rough couple of days in our house and this just moved me. Then I got a huge laugh about stomping on the person with the hand! Ha!
Happy Easter.
Oops, that was me, the anonymous...forgot my name!
Happy Easter, Julie. Kiss the boys!
so much life in her eyes!!! stunning.
What a star. She is gorgeous (you're no slouch, either!)
What a lovely Easter gift!
here’s a word from me: Brilliant!
Look at her gorgeous smile!
Miss Peanut is a cutie, mom ~ I am grinning for both of you!
Happy Easter. :0)
Kim -
You are a testimonial to good parenting. Love, hard work, and love!!
(I can't believe how big she's gotten since I last saw her!)
Crazy world, isn't it Susan? Thanks.
She's stunning, Kim. :) There's so much joy in her. You'll help her get those words out. Have a wonderful Easter.
Gorgeous picture Kim. The best part, that happy glow you both have. Thanks for sharing this beautiful moment with us.
Shoes are overrated in our house, but now I'll think differently about that word!
Thank you Kim. I can totally relate (did you do a backflip when she said it??) I have asked my now non-verbal six-year-old son for his shoe, what is this (shoe), where is your (shoe), etc. etc. every day for the last year, and I get the sign consistently, which is almost as good as winning the lottery, but no verbals yet. Anyhow, thanks for the "little" story that provided some big inspiration and reminder to persevere relentlessly!
Kim,
What a wonderful picture. Gianna and you are just as gorgeous as ever!
Tell Mark, and the other two "peanuts" I and the Boise boys said hello.
xoxo,
jules
