Happy Birthday Kim!

Thanks, K and "Needle." Did you see Neil Young on this tour? We had planned to, but that whole unemployment thing sort of got in the way of buying tickets.

The fact that I "got it" before going to the comments proves that I'm even older than you. (I don't care if they're on those little CD thingies; I still call 'em "records.")

Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, Kim!! I hope you had a great birthday weekend (although it should really be a birthday month, right?). Enjoy!

Cake? GFCF white cake from Kinnickinnick brand - doctored up of course - I added almond extract and made a coconut milk ganache for the icing between the layers. Powdered sugar and those hideously expensive naturally colored sugar crystals on top. Pink, of course. The kids gobbled it up! Gianna was adorable. "It's Mom's birthday! She's 28!" "No, Gianna the day is the 28th.. ah, forget it, 28 I am!"

Thanks for the happy wishes. Here's to a great 09 for all of us.

Jess, that word ver was HARSH! Mine is miling - Kim should be miling to work off the cake!

28 sounds good. I'd take it.

Now, if Sophie was there, she would just have asked you 28 times how old you are. Ho, hum. One day.

And for the record, I think I need some of your recipes. Ever get one of those $90 GFCF birthday cakes from Baby Cakes in New York City?
