The Pashmina

I need your help. A few years ago, my sister gave me a beautiful, blue Pashmina. I don't know how to wear it. No matter how I try (over the shoulders, like a shawl, on one side) I look like an idiot. Russian grandmas look more fashionable than I do with this soft, luxurious piece of fabric draped around my torso like a shroud. HELP!

If you receive wise counsel on this, please post it. I have a friend who has threatened for years to give me a pashmina; they terrify me. It's like the whole "How to wear a scarf" dilemma, but with ten times the fabric.

But will Oprah give me $40M to enhance my Pashmina tying skills?? What a lovely visit from a member of my family (oops, sorry Ed, would you rather deny any relation to me?)

:)

Don't have anything to add. I have enough problems trying to avoid looking matronly while wearing a winter coat, hat and scarf.
