THE RALLY!

The rally was fantastic. I live blogged it throughout the day at http://www.ageofautism.com/. Go check out the photos! Perez Hilton ran a shot and look at the gal to the left of Jenny, smiling. Guess who?!

The smiling lady, off to the side...she's way hotter. (whoever she is).

Oh 13 you need new glasses!! Jenny is genuinely pretty - she really is. And that 6 year difference matters too! LOL! But thank you. I'm blushing.

You are now famous in my eyes.

Who's the dorky blonde to the right of Kim Stagliano?

"Jenny is genuinely pretty"

Okay, I admit...she's adorable. She's just no Stagliano.

I just can't figure out why she's with that Carey dude and not me. Come on! I've got...well, no wealth. No talent. No career or any sort of marketable skills. But I can make toast! Sort of, almost decent toast!

Toast is very sexy. With butter. LOL! Jim is quite slender. Looks every bit his age (which is actually very nice.) And he was beaming with Evan - they seem like very down to earth, kind, people.
Amy, Mark knew you'd faint. Stephen, you're just saying that because I called you romantic. ;)

I think it's so amazing the way Jim Carrey stepped up to be a part of Jenny's son's life. So many people wouldn't be up to the challenge.

He said what I've seen in my own husband, "Autism made him a man." It makes some men babies who run away. Perhaps Jenny's own husband. Jim's speech was really inspirational and spoke to the fathers.

Crap Kim, now you made me cry (the "autism made him a man" and "it makes some men babies who run away" bits really got to me).

It's been a rough ride here since about 4 pm yesterday afternoon, and I'm tired...

Kim, this is so great!
All of it.

Awesome! Love the pictures! Glad you could make it to the rally and see Jim & Jenny in person.

If you have ever seen pictures of his father, Evan looks just like him. Where is he anyway? Is he involved at all?

Well Hi there my famous friend! Glad the rally was all hat you wanted it to be and here's hoping you make a difference.

Hope you're now a bug free house

I really wish someone ele (such as Katie)would come forward as more of a spokesperson. I just can't relate to Jenny McCarthy. It appears that her son suffered more from epilepsy than from autism. She also doesn't directly answer the questions posed to her in some of the interviews that she does such as the recent interview she did with Greta.

She just comes across as an airhead with a lot of money. I know a lot of biomed parents who are turned off by her.

Sigh, another "anon." I've met Jenny several times. She is no airhead and her heart is VERY much in this. Look at all the celebs who get their 15 minutes of fame and then walk away. Katie is a terrific woman - I know her too. But to ask a non-celeb to take on what Jenny has done is impossible. Oprah is one thing - taking over DC for three hours is quite another.

At the end of the day, Jenny's work will benefit all families of kids with autism. Don't judge her by her beauty, just as you wouldn't want your child judged by his/her occasional behavior (nor would I!) Jenny is the real deal.

SHUT UP!!! THAT IS YOU!!!!

Strange--I never said I was judging her by her "beauty." (if you consider silicone and bleached hair beautiful) My point was, to put it bluntly, that many people I have spoken to think she comes across as a moron every time she opens her mouth.

Not that I would ever wish autism on anyone but I hope a more intelligent celebrity can come forward in the near future.
