I Met Dallas Girl!

How fun is it to meet a Blog Buddy!? This is Dallas Girl. She worked with my husband at that company that no longer employs them. (Ahem.)

She has shiny, straight blonde hair. And is a decade younger than I am. Slept in until late morning yesterday (she has two tots back home.) And is from Texas. And yet I like her. Go figure!

She was in NYC with her delightful hubby (shout out to TV Joe from WFAA Dallas) and kindly invited Mark and me to dinner together HERE in Chelsea. Dinner was so fine I even ordered dessert. Also fine.

Dallas Girl blogs HERE.
Thanks, Amy and Joe!

Either you're wearing VERY well or Dallas girl needed that lay-in more than we will ever know! I never would have said there was 10 years between you. Great to put faces to buddies!

Amanda, you need a new set of glasses. First thing I noticed in the photo is that I look reeaally tired. I can tell in my eyes. Usually they are smiley and bright. They look a bit worn down in this shot. If you saw Amy's beautiful skin up close you'd know the difference right away. She has the skin of the young child - just gorgeous.

"She has shiny, straight blonde hair. . .is a decade younger than I am. . . . And yet I like her. Go figure!"

Hee, hee, hee.

Thank you, thank you for my laugh of the day! :)

I *so* needed it!

You are so blasted genuine, self-effacing, get to do so much cool stuff, and PUBLISHED!. . .and yet I like you! Go figure.

We're on 4am starts and 11pm stops with Bear at the moment but I still think you both look great and not 10 years between you.

I'm off for more matchsticks

Amanda - I'm much prettier in person. ha ha ha - I can't even type that with a straight face. Yes I needed that "lay-in" quite a bit. I guess I should look for a good eye cream as well!!! And you are right, there can't be a decade between us.

We had so much fun! Dinner was wonderful and the company was delightful. I've known Mark for at least 10 years and I've waited a long time to meet Kim. It was a wonderful treat for our little getaway!

Hi, Amy! Are you back to reality? I'm sure the boys were happy to see Mom come home! And you to see them. It's fun to go away, but always great to go home.

Yes, back to reality. Sesame Street is blaring in the background as a constant reminder! Bergen has not left my side. Good to be home!
