Get the point? I love you all dearly. I must get to my revisions. See you when I emerge from my writing. I must do this. It's either this or start popping Ritalin like Certs. I need to concentrate on my book. See you soon.

My son calls me a "Blogaholic." I have decided to start a 12-step program for all of my blog friends. Are you POWERLESS over your blogging and has your life become unmanageable? Admitting this is the first step to recovery. Here's a white chip for you. Just for today - I will not blog... Let's see how long Kim can stay on the wagon. Now remember that you can't go cruisin' on other people's blogs because you have to stay out of "slippery" places.

You know that Seinfeld episode "The contest" about masturbating?

I'm out......

Check my blog when you need a break. Otherwise, as a fellow member of the Ritalin Brigade, I've adopted the same strategy.

Ritalin?? Have you not heard of Strattera? It works as more of a dimmer switch than the on/off effect of ritalin, is non-addictive and can be stopped with no ill effects. My youngest has ADHD as part of her diagnosis (along with severe autism and epilepsy) and it has proved a minor miracle for our household. She's still got her spark, but just not bouncing off the ceiling 24/7.

We'll be here when you get back. All of us. Your loyal fans. Every single one of us. Without exception. We'll bide the lonely hours waiting patiently for your triumphant return. Steadfast, resolute, unswerving . . .

Unless, of course, we find other blogs better than yours.

FU, Stephen! I am READING, just not blogging. Commenting is not blogging. Posting is blogging. (It's a social drink. I don't drink at breakfast.) I'm working on a HuffPo piece today. Tomorrow back to the book. You're just afraid you're gonna have to pony up for those boots, herr writer.

I'll be done with my revisions this week. I can already feel that foot massage.

Is that what happens when you're finished with revisions? Sign me up.

Kim,

You only lasted 2 hours! I am truly concerned now. Denial is not a river in Egypt. You're gonna have to return that white chip and get yourself a sponsor next time. Did you start getting the shakes? They've got drugs for that. So you really think that you can just blog in "moderation" now, huh? You have this delusion that you can "control" your blogging? One blog is too many and thousand is not enough! I think that we need to send you to rehab to dry out. We're gonna have to set up an intervention for you. Sobriety is a journey, Kim, not a destination.

Are you a friend of Kim S.?
