So, um, how do you think it went in Philly at the Flyer's game tonight? I'm afraid to watch the news.... Did the Broad Street Bullies welcome Gov. Palin for the puck drop or hip check her back to Alaska? I gather Ed Snider, the Flyers' owner is a GOP bigwig. What do you think of his inviting the GOP VP candidate for some free ice, er, airtime? Now, if he put her in uniform? Even I'd tune in!

8:00pm: Here's my answer. Deafening boos. Ouch. The video doesn't look too bad though. Read about the night and watch a clip HERE.

let's hear it for all of those people with good common sense who know she no sooner belongs there than she does in the vice presidential mansion on Mass Ave (or worse yet in the White House--we don't need white trash in the White House)

The owner should have known better than to turn his game and his players into political pawns. If it had been the owner of the Cubs or the White Sox and they dragged out Biden for the first pitch it would have been as awkward. Can't people just enjoy a game (God knows they pay enough money) for the game without it becoming a campaign event?

Evidently, she uses her daughter as a "boo shield." Stay classy, Sarah:

A carpet was laid down and Palin, dressed in a beige trench, walked on to the ice joined by her daughters Willow and Piper. The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, “How dare they boo Piper!”

What, was Trig sleeping?

Bristol must not have been there to carry Trig around. God knows Sarah never seems to touch him.

I saw her with the little guy on debate night I think. He's getting big! Looks less newborn and more baby. I hope he's doing well and that his health is OK. I just saw a startling stat, 92% abortion rate on fetuses with the positive test for Down Syndrome. 92%%% And you can't tell me they're all pro-choice dems. The kids I see in town with Down Syndrome are as much a joy to their families as my 3 girls are to me. End of story.

There were massive boos at this. The video commonly seen does not convey it as the music, which was tactically pumped up, muffles them out.

It does not, however, muffle it from the stands, where this video was taken:
