Mind Scrambler from Chris Grabenstein.

Hi, everyone. We got back from Cleveland on Sunday. Four days to visit a dear friend (who has ALS/heavy metal poisoning) and to take the girls to The Cleveland Clinic to see Dr. Marvin Natowicz, neurometabolic geneticist brilliant kind doctor.

Last week Chris Grabenstein debuted his latest in the fabulous John Ceepak mystery series. These mysteries take place at the Jersey Shore and are great reads. Ceepak is a "Sea Isle" cop, an Iraq war vet, honest to a fault and has a partner named Danny Boyle who's learning the ropes. Chris and I share an agent. Chris keeps him a bit busier than I do, but I hope that changes soon. :) Chris also wrote an amazing middle grade that appeals to ALL ages called "The Crossroads." Awesome ghost story that takes place in Connecticut.

Check out Chris's site HERE.

Trust none of what you hearAnd less of what you seeThis is what will be, this is what will be. —Bruce Springsteen, "Magic" Copyright, Bruce Springsteen, 2007

ohn Ceepak and Danny Boyle are making the rounds in Atlantic City (interviewing witnesses for the one crime left unsolved at the end of HELL HOLE) when Danny runs into his former crush, Katie. She's working as a nanny for the children of a magician named Richard Rock, the headliner at one of the big casinos. When Katie is found strangled to death backstage, it is up to Ceepak and Danny to find out who killed her. Their lives and the lives of others depend on it.

I have a friend who has taken her son to Dr. Natowicz since he was about four. He is now a teenager. He is indeed a very knowledgeable doctor but what bothers me is that this mom says that Dr. Natowicz does not believe in any biomedical and encourages her to vaccinate because he is "at risk" to catch the flu and other illnesses (same old B.S. line). So over the years she has shot him up with vaccines, including many flu vaccines, on the advice doctors. Sadly the child has only gotten worse and everytime I try to tell her about the harm from vaccines and how this is just a vicious cycle for the poor kid...more vaccines, child gets worse, more trips to Dr. Natowicz, he does more tests, no real solutions...and the cycle continues. The entire case has been very unfortunate in my opinion and this mom has really wasted a lot of time and money going this route.

Sounds like Mom is the type who is happy to listen to the doc and only the doc. 99% of docs recommend vaxes. That doesn't mean you have to follow their guidelines. And Dr. N is well aware of our vaxing thoughts. He has never mentioned getting vaxed to me. His area of expertise isn't something with immediate treatments and he's entirely up front about that. At least with us. I hope your friend expands her knowledge base - perhaps Dr. Sears book? Thanks. KIM

Yes I agree Kim. I have been trying to tell her for years, take away from him what is beneficial, but she is the type who conveys to the doctors that she has no thoughts of her own and will do anything they say. From what she says this child is going downhill physically more and more every year but still will not listen to anything surrounding vaccine damage. She just insists that the doctors tell her that is all hogwash. She reminds me of a mom from the 1950's...the doctors word is God and never question it. So sad and unfortunate. I will never understand these types.

I'm sorry. I ran a post on my blog a couple of weeks ago, "What makes us fight?" I just don't know the answer. I wish her the best though. K
