STEPHEN PARRISH (click that name, it's a link.)

Remember that name - his book "The Tavernier Stones" is coming out next year. THE TAVERNIER STONES, "a fast-paced story involving a cartographer and jewel thief who join forces to recover legendary, lost jewels and solve an ancient mystery," will be published in 2010 by Midnight Ink.

Stephen lives in Germany - he knocked my socks off with this post. Please read it, don't be put off if your politics differs - read to the bottom. Get a tissue.

IT blew me away - I always read Stephen's blog and imagine my surprise and there she was! It's real people, maybe even friends or family, who need healthcare. Not just a bunch of stats or numbers or deadbeats. K

I loved his post! There's a quote that says something like it isn't important until it happens to you and I believe that everyone with a great health plan thinks that way. We have so-so insurance, pay a bunch (thousands) out of pocket and have almost no covered benes for our child with autism. But, it's something and something is better than nothing. What about the people with nothing? We're all a blink away from being without. Something's got to give. Enough with the have and have nots. Every human being deserves healthcare. Period.
