Escape from Stagcatraz!!!!! (Now there's a title for my memoir!)

Well Thank God we got back to Church. (No, I haven't been abducted by an alien Catholic cult.) I am so fond of our Parish. The kids are in CCD (training for the sacraments) and the class now has many volunteers - high school young adults who pitch in. These young men and women are fantastic. Quick learners, fun, eager to engage our kids. It's amazing to see. And some of them babysit!!!! So tomorrow night Mark and I are going to a movie that is not digitally mastered, has no characters that involve a hand up their esophogus or fur and was not first introduced in 1947 by a guy named Walt.

WHOO HOO! We're going to the new James Bond movie. Daniel Craig - yummalicious. And I'm sure there will be plenty of eye candy for Stalingo to enjoy too.

Can we really afford a night out right now, with Mark out of work? Well, we'll do the movie. We won't go to dinner. Maybe a Starbucks coffee afterward. My stress levels are through the roof. We need an evening out. It's cheaper than therapy or a divorce.

Kim - You can't afford NOT to take a night out.

BTW....I want to create a facebook group: "Fans of Kim Stagliano petitioning to get her over here."

Enjoy the movie -
Diane

Good morning, Diane. I don't know why I'm so recalcitrant about Facebook! I will get there at some point. I will. I'm on Linkedin - does that count?

And you so need a night out. Smuggle in your own goodies - Enjoy your night out. We'll be parked in front of the TV praying for another Texas Tech victory!

Kim, enjoy Craig, uhm.. I mean the movie... (you got to have your priorities straight!!).

I resisted getting myself on Facebook too... tooth and nail. I was abducted and deposited there last week. It's actually a lot of FUN (and hell no, you won't be too old..)

"Hi, my name is Petra. And I am a raging caffeine addict.".. LOL
(and yes, I would join that facebook group)

As to addictions.. accordingly to my 5th grader caffeine is a drug (and I have to agree with him). I have to say that having two voices pipe up from the backseat, as I'm ordering my Venti Caramel Macchiato at the Drive-Thru, going: "Mom's going for another fix.' has made me cut down on my consumption (at least in their presence..)..

Ah well, as I say to some others that feel I should 'kick the habit', it's either the caffeine or the booze. You pick...

What else is there but laughter, that perfect emotion for all occasions? ;)

Great, because even my son is cracking up!

OK Daine, I have looked at your FB group and have decided not to get involved on the basis I have enough trouble keeping up with blogging!! LOL! You do of course have my full and unreserved support, always assuming Ms Stagliano can keep up her existing workload in the face of added duties...

ADded duties??? WHO POOPED NOW???????????????????????? Running to check carpets....

The movie was terrific - a perfect escape. Natalie and Katie (sisters) did great with the kids. They are lovely young women with a cool story I'll ask if I may share. Cooler than cool. Tingles up your spine hair stands on end warm fuzzy cool.

Bella, um, peed on Katie... She's on a couple of new supplements and having some control issues. We had a good laugh about it and I threw more money at the girls praying they might someday come back! We have a date on 12/13 with Fr. Dunn from St. Theresa. He runs a Sat night parents group. You meet for an hour, say a prayer chat about parenting issues (I'm wearing a ball-gag) and then go to a local watering hole to drink. Prayers and a pop? Man, it's good to be Catholic! LOL :)

Of course I would not want Kim to compromise the stuff she does so well by sparing a few minutes here and there to facebook. I just think she would be a coolio addition to the FB world and it would give her a fun outlet. (And I'm not alone....)

I escape there often. Maybe too often.

Sophie has begun to take supplements orally!!!!! Maybe now I won't have to pay hundreds of dollars to have them compounded to creams. Yippee-ky-aye.
