Your Kid will be having Sex in Chinese....

READ THIS TOY RECALL and then stop and think before you buy one toy for the holidays from any American Company who manufactures in China. If everyone buys even 50% fewer toys from Mattel, Hasbro and every other toy company you will hurt their bottom line. That's the only way they will take your child's health and safety seriously.

They ought to be whipped with a limp noodle. And if they eat this toy? They just might like it....

DISGUSTING.

OK, now I'm really off to Atlanta.

Scary and dangerous, yet I'm more worried about the parents who allowed their toddlers to play with beads. That's a death wish to begin with. You can't tell me beads don't look like candy to little eyes.

So glad that we're no longer in the Thomas the Tank Engine stage of development! Lets hope that they don't manufacture Pokemon over there or we'll be in real trouble. Hope you have a great time at the conference you jammy dodger you!

Did you also hear something in the news about some lipsticks containing lead? I've been trying to find out which brand(s) that this was.

I'm so tired of this. I'm already threatening the boys with clothes for Christmas if they aren't good, but if this continues, it might actually be the case!

I agree, I don't know why they continue to make toys that could be potentially dangerous to anyone (OK, yes I do = Money!), but I also gotta agree with Stacy - why aren't more parents more careful? Babies and toddlers will put anything into their mouths. Don't buy any toys (or anything) made primarily of chemicals (toys, food, clothes, whatever,) but if you do, put it out of reach of the little ones.

Also gotta say, the headline comparing these beads to the date rape drug was unnecessary, and took some of the article's credibility away. I also hope it didn't give anyone the idea of using these beads for that purpose. It could happen.

CNN International just reported (17:20 CET) that this company is still in business, still making toys at full production rate. However, the Chinese government has revoked its export license. CNN reporters tried repeatedly to enter the factory and interview management but all requests were refused.

I've been boycotting China (all products, not just toys) since the first Dora recall a couple of months ago. It was hard at first to put back the jacket and sofa that I picked out, but as it turns out, i ultimately found much better products than I was originally set to grab.

Oh, and buying food from China is just insane.

Yes, I threw out my cookware too.

Polly, the toy turns INTO the date rape drug in the body. I didn't make that up.
