Although the way that nurse is looking at her makes me cringe-like she's just thinking about wisking her away to give her that first Hep. B shot. We all know that look all too well unfortunately.
That is the happiest "I just had a baby" photo I've ever seen. I look completely stoned in both of mine. Of course, that might have been from the morphine drip ala C-section... Congrats on reaching the teen years!
It was the happiest moment of my life. Mia's was similar of course - and I look as thrilled and happy. Bella's was tougher and I was tired and scared because M & G had been diagnosed that year. But with Gianna A) she was my second so I knew I wouldn't likely drop her on her head and kill her, and B) She was born in under 3 hours from walking into the hospital to holding her in my arms. I had a GREAT doula and used no drugs or epidural - so I was alert and the quick birth meant I wasn't all the beat up. In fact the nurse said, "You don't even look like you had a baby." I assured her I had! My neighbor across the street was in the same hosptal with her newborn. And my OB was my neighbor too - it was a lovely delivery.
Aww that’s so cute. I am in love with this post. I also have a kid and he would be turning one year old soon and it is going to be a grand celebration at the garden themed event space in Los Angeles. It is going to be a hard time for me to plan this party so it will be great if you could share any details here.

Wow!! It seems like last year that I was holding her hand in the Evemere Halloween Parade. She was so much fun to be with. Is she still a party girl?
happy birthday gia!!!
How do YOU spell "relief"?
