A Venti Latte and Scone or Save a Life?

Here's a "slam dunk" proposition. Spend $7 measley bucks, buy a malaria net and save a life. Click HERE to learn about the "Nets Save Lives" program.

No matter how difficult our lives may seem here in America (or Canada or Scotland or Britain and Germany and other 1st world nations) there are countless hundreds of millions who suffer unfathomably due to simple needs.

I count my blessings. Sure, my family has struggles. Maybe more than many of you. So what? My kids' bellies are full. My house is warm. I have enough gas fumes in my tank to get to Poricellis. I am gorgeous beyond Mark's wildest dreams. OK, 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Quiet you! You're a knockout and you know it. Your kids have to get their prettiness from somewhere haven't they?

I agree with your post here btw. There are people who are in much more difficult circumstances then you or I and yet they seem to be just as happy (and if not happier), then us. They take pleasure in simple things. They're amazing.

Reading this made me think of an article I read in Newsweek at the insistence of my better half. It was called "A life full of riches," and I'm not sure if the link will work here, but the url is www.newsweek.com/id/78158. Look past the Christmas theme to the spirit beneath.

Peace be with you.

I'm glad you posted this, Kim. And you're right. Two of my best friends are from foreign countries and we should take note. :*) I'm going to check this out when I get home from work. Thanks for sharing.
