Super Agent X is.......

Now my agent! I got what is known in the publishing worlds as "The Call" today. Talk about your March Madness! (Go BC!) I was ready for the call, you know. Not that I was particularly confident and ballsy, I worried until the minute he said he'd like to take on my book. You see, he is an opera lover and an opera critic for major publications like Variety and The Times. So I gave him his own ringtone. From Carmen. When that tune trilled at me today I got very nervous!

More good news? I also learned today that I'll be included in an anthology about autism due out in March of 2008, in time for Autism Awareness Month (April.)

Now, I am going outside to look for wallets on the ground. It's a lucky day. And like my father in law used to say, "Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good." I kind of hope I'm both.

Congratulations! Just wait until the day you sign the publishing contract; that will feel even luckier than today, I'm sure.

Hooty Hoo !! Your hard work is paying off, Kim! I am humbled by your strength getting the girls on the bus, your commitment to the book and the info and encouragement that you infuse into your blog. Now, stick that into your daily affirmation file, but know that I mean every word. You'll be hearing a lot of Carmen in the days to cme, I'm sure.

Congratulations, welcome to the club (of writers who have agents but not publishers). You'll want to get out of this club ASAP, but it's better than the one you just came from, isn't it?

Oh happy is the day an author gets an agent. Here's to a quick sale, a good promo deal, and a world of readers who get what you have to say and tell all of their friends to buy your book.

Stephen who said something like "I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would have me?" Twain? Will Rogers?

May we all graduate from club to club!

Thank you, Miss Snark. Non-writers, Miss Snark is a NY agent who runs a blog that is to die for - if you're a writer with a sense of humor and a cast iron stomach. She rules with an velvet keyboard!

Congratulations! Yay, how exciting!

Congratulations! I found you through Stacy. I'm a non-writer who seems to be friends with a million writers. So congratulations and I can't wait to read your published works to come!

Great news, Kim! I'll definitely buy your book! Can I get it autographed?

Laura, my gift with purchase goodie will probably be a GFCF cookie..... Signed and SWAK'd (remember that as a kid, sealed with a kiss?) Well, maybe not, I'm ten years older than you, young lady. You're so far ahead of where I was when I first had Mia and was so damn ignorant. Good for you. Better for Hutton.

Kim, congrats on landing your agent! I just learned about it from a mutual acquaintance (small world!). He's a real sweetheart; I had lunch with him last week (even smaller world!).
