Many people came there because it was a really cheap date and a lot of families visited as well because the kids all loved the rides and junk food. The park "officially" closed in 1979 but it was actually "mostly closed down" for several years before that.

Having worked there at Jolly Cholly's during that period of time; I can tell you that the final nail-in-the-coffin or the final reason it closed was due to the U.S. energy crisis during the 1970s going on at the time. Nobody could get gas and of course, there was no public transportation to the amusement park and the owner lost money on that deal, for sure. That's what the employees were told, anyway.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35048242.post-51076933555504616182011-03-16T14:53:22.333-04:002011-03-16T14:53:22.333-04:00What great story!!I think that it is so interestin...What great story!!I think that it is so interesting because the music is one of the best way to express some feelings!I would like to get more about ti!!22ddbuy generic viagrahttp://www.xlpharmacy.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35048242.post-4408154067508449812009-02-15T20:06:00.000-05:002009-02-15T20:06:00.000-05:00Amanda, love, need I remind you that you eat bange...Amanda, love, need I remind you that you eat bangers and mash and spotted dick?
