I think it would be amazing to ...Happy Anniversary! I think it would be amazing to have a collection of wedding pictures of autism parents and for us to write a little about what we didn't know then in relation to what we are doing in the moment captured in the picture. In my favorite picture we are dancing and my new husband is cupping my face to kiss me. I didn't know then that dancing in the kitchen with my "Floppsy" hypotonic 2 year old daughter would be the most hilariously sweet experience. I didn't know that kisses, the sound and thought of them would terrify my son and that we would take a long journey before learning that special sort of creativity it takes to express love to a sensory defensive child.
