One in 150 children is diagnosed with ASD. These numbers can not be explained solely by increased awareness or changes to the diagnostic criteria. It is a health crisis and I will act accordingly.”

Hillary Clinton: “Yes. Today, one in 150 children are diagnosed with autism, for a total of about 25,000 each year. In sum, about 1.5 million Americans and their families are affected by autism today. This national health crisis is costing the United States at least $35 billion each year.”

John McCain: “It's indisputable that (autism) is on the rise amongst children, the question is what's causing it. And we go back and forth and there's strong evidence that indicates that it's got to do with a preservative in vaccines.”

The only candidate who says without reservation or flowery BS that autism is linked to vaccines is McCain. I found this on the Age of Autism website.
Refreshing to say the least
Mary BethAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05119213535062770663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35048242.post-62163122457722734952008-03-07T15:00:00.000-05:002008-03-07T15:00:00.000-05:00I looked this Karp guy up on the net. What gives him the right to be the expert and tell us what to do?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35048242.post-45699907075046891882008-03-07T13:52:00.000-05:002008-03-07T13:52:00.000-05:00Uggh. I was glad Gupta seems to have actually seen the sense in spreading out vaccines and realizing that parents are actually concerned about our kids when we worry about vaccine damage. No, you don't say? Karp shaking his head at Gupta when he said we may have to break up vaccines made me want to punch him in the face.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15397166252681075107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35048242.post-27391425948793088642008-03-07T12:08:00.000-05:002008-03-07T12:08:00.000-05:00Hmmmm, let me think, which would I rather - a few ...Hmmmm, let me think, which would I rather - a few trips to the quack with baby or a life time of struggle and hassle? I thought the whole broadcast was dismal. That seems to be the only word I can come up with. Karp even looked kind of evil....Kathihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11492845603919613292noreply@blogger.com
